Services

Our Services

We provides specialist community, residential, supported living, respite, educational and day opportunities services with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs. We provide services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland within a variety of environments and service models to support individuals in achieving outcomes.

Supported Living

We have a range of supported living services throughout England, Ireland & North Wales. These services are either in a flat scheme or shared house where an individual has their own tenancy as a stepping stone to independent living.

Support is based on assessed need and can range from several hours per week to 24 hours per day. The key aim is to reduce support as independence increase – enabling people to gain skills and confidence in a supportive environment.

Skills Centres

Our Skill Centres are a fresh approach to developing skills and strategies for life using a strength-based, personalised learning programme. Situated across The UK, they are an educational value based service for Adults with a Learning Disability, ASD, Mental Health and/or Complex needs which aims to provide a motivating Person Centred learning experience.

Our services promote choice which focuses on developing independent living skills in environments that ensure learners gain the most from each learning experience.

We focus on 5 learning pathways to develop a learner’s independence and work related skills. These pathways include Life Skills, Vocation, Education, Employability and Social Enterprise. Personal learning pathways are created around the needs of the learner and all focus on three core skills that enable a learner to develop the necessary skills and strategies for life that will promote continued achievement in their lives.

Residential Care

We provide a range of residential services across the UK. This includes a range of need including autism, learning disabilities, complex health needs, behavioural needs and physical disabilities.

Within our residential services we use an outcome focussed model containing a clear care pathway for people who have a range of needs. This model is based on a person centred care approach, active support and positive behavioural support.

The aim is to equip people with the skills for them to take control, increase their independence and reduce support overtime in line with their need. We have many examples of individual moving onto supported living in their own tenancy as part of a pathway to independent living.

Day Opportunities

Day Opportunities are available for people who need support to enable them to live as independent and fulfilling a life as possible, in their communities. They are offered to people with disabilities particularly learning disabilities and high support needs.

Our aim to provide life skills training support for people in their own communities where they can continue or develop new friendships close to home and benefit from other local resources. Students benefit from a skilled and experienced staff team, a flexible approach to learning new skills and building their social networks with other students.

The level of support needed and plan of activities is discussed and agreed with each individual. The planned programmes of support include practical help such as learning or relearning daily living skills such as cookery or using public transport, accessing inclusive community activities or considering local unpaid or paid work opportunities.

Respite / Short Breaks

We have a range of care and support breaks that provide carers to take a break, holiday or simply spend some time looking after their own needs, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the very best care.

Respite care is designed to replace the care that you, as a carer, would normally be giving the person you care for. It may be needed so you can look after your own health and wellbeing, and to take a break from caring. For example, it may be that regular respite overnight care is needed so you can catch up on your own sleep.

Domiciliary / Community Care: These can either be day services that give you the chance to do an activity inside or outside the home, or night services that can help you get a proper night’s sleep, or helpers coming to the home of the person you’re caring for.

Residential care: This is where the person you’re looking after goes for a short stay in a residential home.

Short Breaks: This is where staff will support the cared for person in either your own home or a “holiday” type destination. Both as a group or individual, this is a pre-planned type service with full risk assessments and care planning co-produced with all parties.

Domiciliary / Home Care

Domiciliary Care offers a range of support services to suit people’s needs. This includes outreach, community support and supported living for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs or other complex needs.

This could be support in your own home, at your family home or in the community. In whichever environment, our team are equipped and trained to meet a wide range of needs, whether you need short term or longer term support.

We can work with you, your family and other health professionals to achieve your goals and outcomes -connecting you to your community and designing a bespoke support package to promote your independence.
